Cinecast: New ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer, Kate Hudson Cast in Zach Braff Film

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake+ Even though people are still recovering from throwing their money at Star Trek Into Darkness this weekend and Iron Man 3 the two weekends before that, Warner Bros. wanted to remind them that they still ought to spend even more of it on Man of Steel, which comes out next month. Hence, the new trailer.

+ Justin Timberlake has proven to everyone each time he's showed up to the Cannes Film Festival that he's not only one of the most talented musicians, dancers, and actors around today, but that he dresses better than anyone else. No, really.

+ Now that Mandy Patinkin has signed on to star in Zach Braff's Kickstarter-funded film, stars like Kate Hudson and Anna Kendrick are taking note and jumping on the bandwagon.

+ Since it feels like years since we last heard about the film adaptation of Ender's Game, the marketing team behind the project decided to throw fans a bone by releasing a new promo poster featuring Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield (who strangely resembles Elijah Wood in it at first glance).

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories:

Kate Hudson in Almost Famous

"They are -- because in most male-driven vehicles, the female parts tend to be dispensable. I have faith that we can make female-driven films that are as interesting to men as they are to women."

Acting Showcased in New Trailer for Nine

Although I have thoroughly enjoyed every single preview for , the trailers up until now have been missing one thing: the acting.

Considering the cast boasts six Academy Award winners (Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench and Sophia Loren), expectations for the incredible ensemble are understandably high. Thankfully, this new look does not disappoint.

Nine - also featuring Oscar nominee and Fergie - opens wide on December 25.

First Look: Kate Hudson Sings and Dances in Nine

Back in 2001, received an Oscar nomination for her role as a band groupie in Almost Famous. Now, the actress is getting her chance to do the singing…and dancing.

In Rob Marshall’s , Hudson plays Stephanie, an American fashion journalist who comes into Guido Contini’s already busy life. Although Vogue writers aren’t usually the ones on the runway, Kate is given the opportunity to shine in a musical production called “Cinema Italiano.”

Nine - also starring Daniel Day-Lewis (Contini), Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Fergie, Sophia Lauren, Marion Cotillard and Judi Dench - will open wide on December 25.

Sneak Peek: New Video Clip From Nine

Rob Marshall’s new film Nine is epic.

For one, the cast is impeccable: Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench, Sophia Loren, Kate Hudson, and Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson. That’s 7 Oscar wins and 11 Oscar nominations between them!

Secondly, this video—spliced with rehearsal footage and new clips of the film—just makes me more excited for musical (that could be my Chicago and Moulin Rouge fangirl in me). Having been partially based on Federico Fellini’s autobiographical 8 1/2, I can’t see why it won’t please audiences.

I suppose we shall find out on its opening day, December 25th; in the meantime, enjoy the video!

First Look: Daniel Day-Lewis and All His Women in Nine Trailer

What would do to get past his Academy Award-winning role as Daniel Plainview? He’d move on with a bevy of women.

In , the There Will Be Blood star trades in the oil industry for a life behind the camera. Daniel plays Guido Contini, a Venice director who struggles to complete his film while handling all the women in his life. It’s a part that was once given to Javier Bardem.
